Fuengirola features among this week's top deals

This week, I’ve turned my attention to a long-standing British favourite – holidays in Spain, by the coast.

I’ve only chosen the best deals, so all three of this week’s picks come in at less than £500pp. And, to make sure all tastes are catered for, I’ve found one self-catering holiday, one bed and breakfast offer and an all-inclusive deal.

Here’s how to visit Spain’s seaside resorts for less than £500pp.

1. Self-catering Benidorm in August from £479pp

My first deal is a self-catering seven-night stay in Benidorm, Costa Blanca, with flights from London Stansted to Alicante at the end of August from just £479pp with loveholidays.

This holiday is perfect for two adults looking to escape on a late summer break. You’ll stay in the three-star Aparthotel Terralta, which gets excellent customer reviews. Every apartment has a balcony or terrace, and there’s a large swimming pool as well as an indoor pool, gym and mini market onsite.

Aparthotel stays generally mean you get a bit more for your money, as you get space for cooking and eating as well as a bedroom. You’ll have the flexibility to make meals and drinks whenever you like, which also helps to keep costs down. And, of course, Benidorm’s restaurants and bars are around a 10-minute walk away if you don’t plan to lift a finger.

Aparthotel Terralta is located about 1km (0.6 miles) from central Benidorm, offering the perfect balance of being close to the action but being a peaceful retreat when you need it. There’s a bus stop a few minutes’ walk from the hotel with buses taking you to town or the beach. You’re within easy reach of two gorgeous beaches - Poniente beach, which you can walk to in around 15 minutes, and Levante beach, which is around a 40-minute walk away or quicker if you take the bus.

The details: Seven nights at the three-star Aparthotel Terralta on a self-catering basis from £479pp based on two adults sharing. Flights from London Stansted on 29 August.

2. A B&B escape to Fuengirola in October from £445pp

Bed and breakfast is my favourite board to travel on. It’s nice not to have to worry about getting up and fully dressed at the very start of your day (yep, I am the person at the breakfast buffet looking like they’ve just woken up). However, I love to eat locally too - even if that’s just scoping out some bargains in the local supermarket! So, to me, bed and breakfast works perfectly.

This well-priced B&B deal is a warm-weather October getaway to the Costa del Sol, where you can expect highs in the late teens to early 20s in late October. You’ll stay at the four-star Hotel IPV Palace & Spa, a grown-up spot in Fuengirola with an excellent seafront location. Flying from Glasgow, this flight and hotel package with Sembo comes in at £445pp, which is a solid price for a four-star resort.

Rooms are bright and spacious, and there are two swimming pools as well as a spa - plus the beach is right there in front of you. Granted, October and November might be a bit chilly for a dip, but you can still enjoy the sea air and a scenic walk along the coast. You can also walk to the bars and restaurants in Fuengirola’s centre in around 15 minutes.

The details: Seven nights at the four-star Hotel IPV Palace & Spa on a bed and breakfast basis from £445pp based on two adults sharing. Flights from Glasgow on 29 October.

3. Costa de la Luz all-inclusive retreat in October from £489pp

I covered London departures in my first deal – because, normally, deals are cheaper from the capital. But, I wanted to prove that you can find bargains from elsewhere, too. And, I managed to find an all-inclusive deal for this one, even if I had to cut it down from a week to five nights to stay under £500pp.

Your home for five nights will be the four-star Estival Islantilla hotel on the Costa de la Luz in southwestern Spain, an attractive beachfront hotel with sprawling gardens dotted with palm trees. There’s an outdoor pool here as well as a spa. For mealtimes, you have the choice of a buffet restaurant and a Mexican restaurant. As this holiday is in October, it’s possible the outdoor pool will be closed for the season, but you can still enjoy a soak in the spa’s indoor pool.

You’ll be staying in a spacious studio, with a balcony and kitchenette - not that you’ll need it, as you’re on an all-inclusive package. The holiday comes in at £489pp, and the little hack I’ve employed here is the fact that while your trip will be in sunny Costa De La Luz, you’ll actually fly into…Portugal! So, this deal includes your flights from Manchester to Faro. When I checked, you could hire a car from Faro from £5.16 per day for the duration of this trip – just make sure your hire company is happy with you driving to Spain and check whether there are any extra fees to do this.

The details: Five nights at the four-star Estival Islantilla hotel on an all-inclusive basis from £489pp based on two adults sharing. Flights from Manchester on 14 October.

Please note: All prices were correct at the time of writing (5 June 2026) and are subject to change and availability.
