Top all-inclusive resort towns in Egypt

Sharm El Sheikh

Easy to reach from the UK, Sharm El Sheikh – or ‘Sharm’ as it’s often known – offers a tantalising combination of beautiful beaches, outstanding dive spots and welcoming nightlife. There are plenty of all-inclusive resorts here, with private beaches, epic views, multiple swimming pools and aqua parks as standard. If you’re a diver, look for a resort that offers direct access to ‘house reefs’.

Hurghada

A major resort town on the Red Sea, Hurghada is another top diving destination. A typical all-inclusive holiday here will see you indulge in local and international cuisine, sip cocktails by the pool, learn how to kitesurf and unwind in the spa. Most resorts here are right on the Red Sea, and boast pristine private beaches.

El Gouna

A short drive north of Hurghada, upscale El Gouna is set around a yacht-filled marina. Here, all-inclusive resorts line the waterfront. Swim or kayak in your resort’s man-made lagoon before soaking in the jacuzzi or indulging in a spa treatment. Or, if you like your waters a little less calm, head to the private beach for kitesurfing, windsurfing or wakeboarding. As the sun goes down, expect elegant evenings filled with live music, marina events and themed dinners.

Makadi Bay

To the south of central Hurghada, Makadi Bay is a smaller resort town with a lively waterfront and a choice of all-inclusive hotels. Kayak or snorkel around beautiful calm bays in the morning, spend the afternoon lazing by the pool, and tuck into a sumptuous dinner in the evening.

All-inclusive Egypt holidays at family-friendly hotels

With resorts offering kids’ clubs, babysitting services, thrilling activities, and entertainment for all ages, Egypt is a brilliant choice for an all-inclusive family holiday.

All-inclusive holidays for families in Egypt

Sharm El Sheikh is home to a wide range of resorts — from luxe to budget — and is the ideal destination for carefree family fun in the sun. From kids’ clubs and dedicated children’s pools, to volleyball and table tennis, the youngsters have plenty to entertain them. Meanwhile, older kids can sign up for their first dive.

For an action-packed holiday, head to Hurghada. Here you’ll find slides for both adults and kids, in-resort activities like trampolining and tennis, and playgrounds where the little ones can make holiday friends. Expect a full programme of family-friendly experiences throughout your stay too, including animation teams, kids’ clubs, nightly shows, and children’s discos.

If your family prefers a quieter vibe, Sahl Hasheesh is a tranquil, upscale resort town not far from Hurghada. Immaculate sandy beaches, vibrant coral reefs and watersports are the order of the day here. Many of Sahl Hasheesh’s upmarket resorts have private beaches, large swimming pools, clubs for kids and teens, spas and wellness centres, and water parks. If you’d like to explore, most resorts offer excursions to Luxor and Cairo, and desert safaris.

In nearby Makadi Bay, there’s little reason to leave your all-inclusive, with in-resort theme parks that include waterslides and pools for kids, and swim up bars for the grown-ups. Family-friendly restaurants here offer a wide variety of cuisine, while rousing evening shows wrap up fun-filled days.

All-inclusive beach holidays in Egypt

With friendly beaches like lively Naama Bay and luxurious Shark’s Bay and year-round sunshine, the ever-popular Sharm El Sheikh is an easy choice for an all-inclusive getaway by the sea. And it’s pure paradise for water babies. Snorkel around stunning coral reefs, descend to the depths on world-class diving experiences, and throw yourself into watersports including jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing.

The same is true of Hurghada, which stretches for over 40km (25 miles) along the Red Sea, with plenty of natural sandy beaches and gentle, shallow waters. Spend your days out on the water – diving, snorkelling, kayaking, and glass-bottomed boating – or simply snooze on the beach in the sun.

Like your beach holiday with a side of wellness? Soma Bay is renowned for its luxurious all-inclusive resorts, pristine sandy beaches, and high-end spas. Its calm, turquoise waters are ideal for swimming, sunbathing and watersports, while under the sea, coral reefs teem with marine life, delighting snorkelers and divers. After a day spent by the coast, return to your resort’s spa for rejuvenating treatments.

For somewhere a little more relaxed, stay in and around El Gouna. This upmarket resort town boasts a unique system of lagoons, islands, and sandy beaches. Most resorts here have access to calm, shallow lagoon beaches, ideal for swimming and safe for little ones. Or, head to public sands like Zeytouna Beach and Mangroovy Beach for loungers, beach clubs, and water sports. After a day spent sunbathing and swimming, indulge in a mouth-watering meal at an in-resort restaurant.

If you’re seeking tranquillity, an all-inclusive holiday in Makadi Bay will not disappoint. Here you can grab a mask and go snorkelling, hopping straight from the jetty into the warm, clear water. Alternatively, while away the warm days snoozing on a sunbed and indulging all-inclusive-style at a choice of crowd-pleasing restaurants.
