If you’re feeling spontaneous and fancy a change of scenery, consider a last-minute holiday to Majorca. A flight from the UK will get you to the island in around two-and-a-half hours, so you can be sizzling on a beautiful beach, swimming in a resort pool and exploring Palma in no time at all.

Beautiful beaches
Majorca is home to plenty of beautiful beaches, but Es Trenc is easily one of the best. Its long stretch of white sand is perfect for sunbathing between dips in the Med. For a little adventure, rent a paddleboard to explore coastal coves.
Inland adventures
A train journey may not be the first thing that springs to mind when you’re searching for last-minute deals to Majorca, but a trip on the Palma to Sóller line is an unforgettable experience. Hop aboard the vintage carriage to cruise past mountain ranges, olive groves and pine forests.
Spanish cuisine
From suckling pigs in the backstreets of Palma to parrillada de pescado (grilled fish) in Alcúdia Bay, Majorca is a winning last-minute destination for foodies. Wine enthusiasts, meanwhile, can take a vineyard tour through Binissalem’s fertile wine country.
Chilled-out days
Grab a coffee on the edge of Palma’s Plaza Mayor to watch the world go by, island style. For a helping of history, take a tour of the Royal Palace of Almudaina and the stunning spires of La Seu Cathedral.
For sun-drenched spontaneous getaways by the sea, head to Majorca between June and August when temperatures average 30C. Alternatively, April or May are better bets for exploring on cooler days, while affordable last-minute trips are also up for grabs between November and March.
