Holiday sin Sousse

Book holidays in Sousse to spend time in one of Tunisia's most historic and interesting tourist areas, mingling the traditional pleasures of a beach holiday with the chance to glimpse the Tunisia of the past.

There are many reasons to book holidays to Sousse. Read on to discover more about the city and then use our search tool to find cheap deals...

With its ancient medina, this centuries-old city offers the best of both worlds and is the perfect introduction to this fascinating North African nation.

Sousse holidays are growing in popularity, as are those to its neighbouring resorts on the Tunisian coast. It's not a surprising trend really, given the miles of soft sandy beaches, hot summer weather, excellent hotels and fascinating cultural highlights that offer very different experiences to resorts across the Mediterranean Sea in southern Europe.

In Sousse, many visitors choose to relax on the beach in the morning, or get the adrenaline pumping with some water sports on the shoreline of the Gulf of Hammamet, before testing their haggling skills in a souk heavily scented with spices, glittering with gold and draped in hand-woven rainbow-coloured rugs in the afternoon.

The resort has plenty of attractions for visitors besides white sands, colourful souks and clear, warm waters, though. Historical buildings, such as a monastery, mosque, and castle, provide a look at ancient Tunisia and a shady respite from the heat. Sousse harbour is another beauty spot, where there are plenty of cosy cafés and authentic restaurants in which to cool off and sample the delicious local cuisine.

You should try to pay the harbour a visit, even if you opt to stay in one of the many, excellent all-inclusive beachfront hotels. If you choose self-catering accommodation, meanwhile, the harbour is likely to become one of your favourite spots to grab a bite to eat and savour the flavours of exotic Tunisia.

Book your break now in sunny Sousse with the help of TravelSupermarket. Our price-comparison tool will find you the best deals on the market, so that you can find your perfect Tunisia break quickly and easily.
