Marmaris Maritime and Spring Festival; May: This event seems to celebrate not only the sea, but life in general. A herd of fun events - from folk dancing to yacht racing - stampede across the town and you can't help but be swept up by the joyous atmosphere.

Marmaris concerts July/August: The age-old amphitheatre is the perfect setting for open-air shows from a variety of performers - including Turkey's famed belly dancers.

Marmaris International Race Week; October: Some races of this hotly-contested event travel to the waters around Icmeler, so you needn't go as far as Marmaris to witness yachts cutting across the waves during thrilling contests.

Couples, young families, older families, quiet groups: Turunc offers holiday experiences for almost every kind of traveller...

Babies and toddlers: The sheltered bay and shallow waters off Turunc beach keep little paddlers happy, especially during the cooler months of spring and autumn.
